June 2007 - A television series for dog lovers, "America's Cutest Puppies" produced by WE (Women's Entertainment) television, began a nationwide search to find the cutest puppy in America. Traveling to 10 cities in the U.S., thousands of pooch owners auditioned their fur babies in hopes of winning the top honor for puppies. Oscar Newman founder and CEO, Charisa Antigua was honored to be a judge for the Chicago episode.

April 2007 - Swarovski Elements, the world's leading brand of cut crystal, invited Oscar Newman and other high-end pet accessory labels to participate in the exciting pet fashion event, Crystal Canine, at LA Dogworks, a five-star dog mecca located in the heart of Hollywood.

Oscar Newman created a special couture piece embellished with CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements for this event. LA Dogworks used this event as a platform to benefit the Best Friends Animal Society.

Oscar Newman Creates Custom Jewelry for Westminster Winner, "James"

February 2007 - At the prestigious Westminster Dog Show this year, the Best in Show trophy was awarded to "Ch Felicity's Diamond Jim," a.k.a. "James," an English Springer Spaniel. To celebrate James' victory and retirement, Oscar Newman along with Swarovski, was asked to create a special necklace for James, as part of his winning gift basket. Oscar Newman salutes the best in show champion and wishes him the very best retirement!

April 2006 - At this year’s Silver Spoon Dog & Baby Buffet, Oscar Newman enjoyed dressing pups from the Amanda Foundation as well as celeb pooches. A worthwhile event that truly benefits homeless dogs, The Amanda Foundation provides care and shelter to animals through donations and sponsors. Some of the celebrities in attendance were Taryn Manning ("Hustle & Flow"), Shannon Elizabeth (“Cuts”), Larenz Tate ("Crash"), Lisa Edelstein ("House, M.D."), Tia Carrere ("Dancing With the Stars"), Shanna Moakler (“Meet the Barkers”), Kevin Weisman (“Alias”), Amy Acker (“Alias”, “Angel”), Marissa Jaret Winokur (“Stacked”, Tony winner for Hairspray), Bridgette Wilson Sampras ("The Wedding Planner"), Jennifer Finnigan (“Close to Home”), Jonathan Silverman (“The Single Guy”), Bobbi Sue Luther ("Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo"), Melissa Rivers (TV Guide Channel), to name a few.

September 2005 - Oscar Newman does their share in vamping up celebrity dogs for the big event!

As the only luxury dog couture line at the exclusive Pre-Emmy Style Lounge, Oscar Newman enjoyed two days of fun and laughter with pooch-loving celebrities. Celebrities were able to view Oscar Newman's latest collection at the event Fashion Show, where dogs from the Best Friends Animal Society strutted their stuff modeling the new line.

And perhaps the best part --- several dogs were adopted during the event. Of course, the newly adopted pooches went home donning an Oscar Newman creation. The suite solicited donations to the animal charity as well.

September 2005 - Emmy red carpet host, Star Jones Reynolds' precious Maltese, Pinky wore the lavender Beaded Tank with the Frosted Grape necklace as her mommy talked to stars about their fashion choices for the evening.

September 2005 - Pinky was spotted wearing Oscar Newman's Crocheted Trim Satin Ribbon sweater in Khaki/Violet at the SELF event on 5th Ave in New York.

Oscar Newman is also owned by the pooches of Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Paula Abdul, Shannon Elizabeth, and Madylin Sweeten, to name a few.

September 2005 - Oscar Newman dressed the pooches from the Best Friends Animal Society at the Style Lounge Fashion show. Several dogs were adopted at the event, and all went home with Oscar Newman luxury couture.
