Oscar Newman® Luxury Pet Couture Hits the Fashion Catwalk at Pet Fashion Week NY, in São Paulo, Brazil

Geneva, IL - April 20, 2010. Pet Fashion Week NY has become synonymous with high-fashion and luxury for pets by showcasing new and innovative pet products in their well-known New York City pet industry event. On April 24th - 25th 2010, Pet Fashion Week NY along with Aktuell Communications will be hosting a first of its kind pet industry trade event in São Paulo, Brazil. The pet trade event promises to incorporate the look and feel of PFW's highly successful NYC event in a uniquely South American setting.

Dedicated to promoting top pet designers, PFW invited Oscar Newman Luxury Pet Couture to participate in their highly anticipated runway show. Unlike any pet runway show in the industry, the PFW runway shows garner worldwide attention from both media and the pet industry due to its innovative artistry and lavish productions typically seen in the human fashion shows. "We're thrilled to be a part of PFW's runway show debut in Brazil", said Charisa Antigua, CEO and co-founder of Oscar Newman LLC. "We're keenly aware of the growing pet market in South America, and specifically Brazil. Brazil is the fastest growing pet market in the world, and is expected to be second only to the U.S. in annual sales within the next couple of years. Currently the U.S. pet market is approximately 42 billion dollars a year, with Japan second and Brazil running a close third and expected to overtake Japan in the very near future.

Approximately seventy pet vendors will be exhibiting at the tradeshow, representing all four corners of the globe. Show organizers expect to attract nearly two thousand industry professionals (buyers) from both South America and abroad.
